Yuriko Miyazaki chasing Wimbledon wild card after Nottingham win
Miyazaki played five matches in the new season, losing only to Heather Watson. The Japanese-born Brit got good playing practice, and this is her main advantage over Young. The South Korean, for her part, plays more active and powerful tennis and in her match against Errani she was winning her first serve (76%) and had eight aces. Yang won a lot of draws with her activity - 43 and 33 unforced errors. Undoubtedly, Young will be the first choice, but Miyazaki will not sit back either. Yuriko has a lot of experience and has beaten opponents who are much more powerful and stable than Yang. My prediction is Miyazaki's win plus for that kind of odds pull for joy.
